Many of our customers will update their Longwood kitchen or bathroom by installing a new faucet. This is a cheaper alternative from replacing the sinks or countertops. We also get a lot of questions on if the customer should get their own faucet or have the plumbing company provide the faucet. We usually suggest for the customer to pick the faucet so they get the faucet that best fits their needs and it is also usually cheaper for the customer. The following is an example of some things that you should look for in a faucet when purchasing it:
- Does it have built in supply lines? If not, make sure you get some or your Longwood plumber will have to charge you extra for it.
- Bathroom faucets usually come with a new drain assembly. Make sure it is of good quality. There are many times we can’t use the drain assemblies that come with the unit because they are to0 cheap and leak or don’t function properly.
If you are considering installing a new faucet, check out the faucet. We suggest Moen because they have an outstanding warranty and their faucets are of very quality. When getting a faucet cheaper, it is not always better neither is the most expensive. If you stick with a good quality mid-grade faucet you will have years of worry free use.
